“We stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days and had a rough time. The second we opened the door we could smell mold, and once we started looking around we found it on the walls, the ceiling, the windows, even inside the vents. It didn't seem like the place had been cleaned properly in a long time. By the end of the stay a few of us were dealing with sinus problems and other stuff that seemed connected to being around all that mold. Then a couple hours before check in, management messages us saying the owner was going to be staying on the property in her RV parked under the house while we were there. Nothing about that was in the listing. We asked them to show us where that was disclosed since it felt like a privacy issue, and they backed off and said she wouldn't stay there after all. Kind of felt sneaky, like if we hadn't said anything we would've just been stuck sharing the property with someone we never agreed to. Mold plus that whole situation, we can't recommend this place.”

“What a fantastic place! Spacious and all the furniture was comfortable. Our toddler loved the bunk bed, and there was plenty of space in that room for a pack and play for our smaller kiddo. The kitchen was so nice. Everything was upgraded. The master bathroom was just…wow! The layout just worked, and the big table fit our whole family. Being right on the beach was speechless. We sat on the porch every night for hours, talking and listening to the waves. The swing was so relaxing. This place was well worth it. Be sure to bring your beach towels, as there are none on the property. The owner was responsive and answered all my questions, before and after booking. Our dog had a great time too! I would definitely say here again.”

“Three nights with my son, daughter-in-law, and five grandkids, we loved this place. The space was perfect. We ate meals on the balcony. The balcony was also a great place to enjoy the sounds of the ocean and read. We enjoyed the fire pit on our last night, cooking hotdogs and making s’mores. There was a nice breeze and it was shaded well. The beach was just a few steps away and had very few people and the outdoor shower was great! We will definitely come again.”

“Nice home, fully stocked. Peaceful beach vibes. The particular span of beach wasnt great for swimming because all the broken shells you have to fight, but the views, sounds and smells were 100. There were multiple crews about during my stay to fix things/maintain lawn. Disruption was minimal but still bothersome. The yard crew came and went twice in one day for some reason, leaving the gate open to the yard meant to be a pet friendly, enclosed spot. I had to rush to shut it before my pups escaped. If I were to vacay in Bolivar again, I would try to stay farther west down the peninsula.”

“Not many houses that are on the beach with an uninterrupted view plus the beach access road right next door. You are also far enough down the peninsula that there is not a lot of traffic on that beach access road or the beach. House has wonderful fully covered front porch facing the beach. House is nice. Master bathroom really huge. Laundry. Nice guests rooms. Big theatre seating around big screen tv for when you’ve had enough sun.”

“This was my second stay on this property and hands down the best I’ve found in the area! The house is cozy and had everything I was looking for in my stay. Beds were super comfortable and clean. “This house is incredible. There is not a single thing lacking. Hoses everywhere along with an outdoor shower. Huge storage space in kitchen and bathrooms. Furniture is comfy and plentiful. Fire pit right on the beach within the fenced yard. The yard is perfect for your pets and toddlers - securely closing gates everywhere including at the top and bottom of stairs. The wrap around deck is stellar with tons of seating and a killer view. We hope to get to stay here again and have recommended to many friends already. We had the best time and our dog loved it so much. Many places state they are “pet friendly” but this one actually is.”

“We had an outstanding stay at this property and would absolutely return. The home is beautifully updated with extensive modern amenities, especially the elevating bed, which was a unique and comfortable touch. The location is unbeatable, with direct walk-on access to the beach, and it was pleasantly uncrowded during our stay. The large porch was a highlight, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. “If you don’t mind be a couple extra miles from the big store and “town” then this is the perfect spot for you! Private, beautiful and welcoming. Whether you are hosting a small family reunion or want a getaway with your closest friends; This is the place! Beautiful kitchen with all the tools, wonderful washer and dryer and lots of seating inside and out! I would recommend doing a walk around in the yard and patio if you have small children as we found several sharp object lying around. Overall wonderful spot and Nate is an amazing host.
